Review:

Hello, dear reader! I know, it has been a LONG time since I've made a review. However, I have tried to make up for it by not only posting this review but a podcast as well. You can find the podcast, which covers other dramas, under the podscast tab or on YouTube. It is under the same name as this websight: Drama Addicts Corner.

Anywho, let's get into the nitty gritty. If you are new to my reviews I rate my dramas on mainly two categories: storytelling, and direction. Under Storytelling, I take into account not just the acting, but the writing, and music as well. It is usually presented as a percentage. Under the category direction, I consider both editing and direction, editing counts for 2 points while direction counts for 3. It'll be out 5. I call them my sticky notes because that tends to be what I write my thoughts on when I'm watching. For Dynamite Kiss, I have the story telling at a 90%. Under direction I gave this a 4/5.

I almost gave this drama a 92%, but some things have happened leading up to the last episodes that have made me change my mind. And, if I am being honest, if the plot continues to go the way I suspect it's going to follow, then I'm going to move that 90% to an 89%. The story was good, it was fresh and I was enjoying the dynamic between both leads. Then they started to fall down a trope/ cliché that I am seriously hoping will die soon. If you've watched dramas before, you'll know what I'm talking about. It comes almost every sereies toward the end of the drama. Typically in episode 14, without fail. I just need the cliché to go away. It's been tired out. Just like the white truck of death, the unnecessary break up needs to end.

The other issue I had with the drama remains with the writing. Why did they take so long to reveal the truth to the main lead? At first it was funny and cute, made for a commical story and situations. However, as time went on I was getting tired of everyone lying to this guy. There were so many opportunities for not just Da Rim, but the other people around him to say something. I understand that she would be terrified to, because it could mean she would lose her job and she is in desperate need of it. However, the friend, Kim Son U, had opportunities and didn't take them. Ji Hyuk's "fiancé", Woo Ha Young, had ample opportunity too. Who cares that Son U, asked her not to. I understand that she is twitterpated with him, but when you don't need to keep a sectret and it makes you look bad (really bad), and it is hurting someone else just come clean.

The best friend, Kim Son U, having a romantic interest in Da Rim . . . While I understand it, I also wish the writers would have kept them as friends. If they made

Don't hate me, but I think he's looks like a mix of Kim Nam Joon and Kim Seok Jin.

his story as a divorcee who is scared of entering into a relationship because of his son, and because of his trauma from his wife runing out on him and their child. It would have made moments when he is with Ha Young more meaningful. Especially since they kept hinting at a possible relationship between them. I think the main moment I'm thinking of was when ha Young was feeding Son U's son in his photo studio. He turns around watching the two interact and he has a moment. That moment would have had more of an impact if his stroy was more like the one I described.

Other than those sqabbles, I enjoyed this drama a lot. It made me giggle, I was excited to see the next episodes. So, it is my all means a great drama but I would have made

those changes to the script. The acting was decent. The music is good. Mind you, dear reader, the music is not Typhoon family good but it's not distracting or awful to listen to. Direction and editing were not anything noteworthy, but also plays into the decent storytelling of the drama.

That being said, thank you for joining me today. It was good to come back and talk to you, dear reader. Please don't be too disappointed in me. Let me know what you thought of this series. It is available to watch on Netflix. If you know of anywhere else to watch it, please leave a comment down below. Goodbye, and until next time dear reader!
